Tracy Leon

Tracy Leon grew up in the countryside in Southeast England. Creativity was something she acquired from a young age, but not artistic skills! When she was 20 she emigrated to Ottawa, Canada to be with the rest of her family who had emigrated in previous years. Her art inspiration came from her sister Diane who had taken a pencil drawing course and produced a beautiful pencil drawing of a cougar! A little bit of sibling rivalry led to Tracy learning to draw in her late 20s. Surely if Diane could produce such a great work of art, she could too!? After learning basic drawing skills, Tracy then took a pen and ink course and focused on pointillism and pen drawings for many years. Eventually, she branched out into more vibrant mediums and found her love of colour and pet portraits.

Tracy has a love of animals, plants, flowers and nature. You will see this throughout many of her art pieces.

Today, Tracy enjoys drawing fine detail in pets and wildlife! Her favourite part is to capture the eyes and direction of fur.
